Band page template
A band has something a DJ does not: photographs of a lot of people facing the same way. Sala is built so those photographs get the room they deserve and nothing else gets in the way.
It is the most generous of the five: density runs 25% above the base, display type is large, and the name sets at 32 pixels with tight letter-spacing. Where Cabina compresses to fit everything in, Sala opens up so each thing breathes. The column reaches 760 pixels and the cover 140 tall, which is what a landscape photograph needs to read as a photograph rather than a colour band.
The image treatment is the only one that does nothing: no duotone, no monochrome, no frame. If the band paid for a photo session, putting a brand filter over it is spending someone else money. The avatar uses a 14-pixel radius instead of a circle, because a band logo is rarely circular and a circular crop eats its corners. The glow stays on: it holds the page together when the photos are dark, which live photos almost always are.
The blocks it opens with
Six blocks, one more than the other templates, because a band is fighting on more fronts: showing, sounding, selling, filling a room and collecting emails.
- Gallery — your profile images at full width. The block that defines this template.
- Music — the record or the single, embedded.
- Events — the tour, with a ticket link wherever you have one.
- Smart Merch — shirts and vinyl. For a band merch is not an extra: often it is the income.
- Mailing list — the one channel no algorithm sits in front of. If Instagram changes tomorrow, the list is still yours.
- Links — at the end, not the top: on this template the content is what holds people.
Why the mailing list ships enabled
The email capture block is on by default on this template only. It is the most deliberate of the six choices: a band announcing a date on Instagram reaches a fraction of its followers, and a company decides what fraction. An email reaches whoever signed up. The block asks for the address with a consent checkbox, and you can export the list as CSV whenever you want — it is yours, not ours.
How many photos can I upload?
The gallery pulls from your profile images, and the limit comes from your plan block count, not a photo count. In practice six to ten is the right number: a thirty-photo gallery makes the page heavy and nobody reaches the tour dates.
Can different dates have different ticket links?
Yes. Every date in the events block carries its own venue, city and ticket link, and past dates hide themselves. You never have to go in and delete last week.
Does it work for a solo artist?
It works for anyone whose visual content is the main asset: a singer, a visual artist, a collective. If your catalogue of work matters more than your photographs, look at the producer template.
Do I own the emails on the list?
Yes. You can export them as CSV at any time and take them with you. We do not use them for anything or mix them with other lists: they stay attached to your artist and are deleted if you delete the account.
